A USB or Bluetooth scanner gun types into this field like a keyboard and hits Enter for you — nothing else to set up. Typing by hand works the same way.
Sample price tags for testing. These are stand-in products with a barcode, name, and price already set — like what a real catalog would hold. Open this tab on a laptop or second phone, then scan these from the Camera tab: if it's wired correctly, the name and price fill in on their own instead of showing "Unnamed item."
